The new freezer will double the frozen food capacity of the Chicago Chesed Fund’s food pantry.

Located in Lincolnwood, the Chicago Chesed Fund’s food pantry is housed in its warehouse, which is over 44,000 square feet and provides food to over 1,000 individuals per month.

Through the Chicago Chesed Fund’s emergency food distribution program, they also send food packages to those who cannot “shop” at the food pantry.

The Chicago Chesed Fund, founded in 1987, is committed to assisting families in crisis throughout metropolitan Chicago by providing immediate assistance.

With over 20 programs and services, including a food pantry, eviction prevention, and job placement, the Chicago Chesed Fund provides vital assistance to over 3,000 individuals a year.

Their goal is to not only provide community members with the emergency assistance they so desperately need, but also help them return to complete independence.
